Foot Reflexology is a massage therapy that taps into ancient knowledge to create balance in the whole body by stimulating reflex points in the feet.  These reflex points are mapped out on the foot, giving precise access to organs and glands of the body.

foot.jpgTo our knowledge, this technique was used at least as far back as ancient Egypt and China.  Hieroglyphics in the Egyptian tombs dating 2500 BCE demonstrate foot reflexology being performed.  Intuitively we reach for our own feet when there is pain.   There are thousands of nerve endings in the feet, hands, and ears, all with this reflex connection to the rest of the body.  If you want to feel good all over, massage your ears, hands or feet for a few moments.  Reflexology takes the concept a bit further, by utilizing the reflexes.
The reflexes in the feet give us an ideal way to stimulate organs and glands in a non-invasive way.  When the organs and glands are stimulated; blood circulation increases, nerve function is optimized, hormone production and balance is improved, and overall balance in the systems of the body is achieved.  Some benefits of Foot Reflexology are:

  • Calmness and serenity
